Phene Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Vice as Senior Advisor effective immediately.

Michael is an impact finance practitioner based in London. He is the Founder and Creative Director of Wineskins, a firm specialising in the design and build of impact finance solutions. His role is to help partners create impact-centred financing structures using a blend of private, public and philanthropic capital, to address critical challenges among people, climate and nature.

In the last decade, Michael has played various roles in the design, build and/or operating of +40 funds, facilities and/or structures for impact, including the mobilisation of over $1 billion for climate, water, energy and biodiversity, in over 20 African countries and others in the Global South.

Michael is also the co-founder and Program Director of Nature for Water, which assists local partners to solve their water security challenges by designing and creating long-term, place-based, watershed investment programs.

He is a registered Professional Engineer, with a Masters of Engineering in Sustainability and Systems Thinking (UCT). Michael was also part of the inaugural cohort for the Impact Finance Innovations Programme at the University of Oxford’s Saїd Business School, is a co-author of Blended Finance, Catalytic Capital and Hybrid Investment Structures for the CFA Society of the UK’s Impact Investing Certificate and has a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.
